I know a lot of insurance agents as a Chamber Executive, and I happen to work across the hall from Jay West at AJR insurance. Jay is the hardest working agent I know. Many agents write a policy and then any future contact is through the company. This is not the case with Jay. He goes above and beyond for his clients, a man who truly cares for the wellbeing of others. I have known him to go help someone on the side of the road while they wait for a tow truck. Do NOT recommend utilizing this AJR Pikesville, MD location. Branch manager / “Principal Agent” is extremely unreliable, and not responsive at all. I was told a policy was “good to go”, so I canceled my previous policy, then never heard from the guy. When I reached out, I was told he would call back within “10 minutes”, and never heard from him or his agency again. What an unprofessional mess. I’ve been using AJR for years and when I purchased a new vehicle I didn’t even bother shopping around. The dealer saw my card and didn’t bother trying to sell to me either. I’ve had nothing but professional, attentive and delightful experiences with AJR. Even went through an accident with them, rates never went up and I felt like they went to bat for me. I’ll be with them for life.
Called today and received a great quote on my auto policy. Switching insurance was eaiser then expected.
