I have had Erie Insurance for many years, but I just recently had to file my first claim with them after my vehicle broke down and I had to be towed home. I called the Big Stone Gap office and was told exactly what to do to start my claim. The whole process took less than a week to file my claim, get approved, and receive my check in the mail. If I could give lower than one I would. I have been with this group for years and Erie insurance is great but this provider is subpar. I attempted to cancel my insurance to go with another and was told I couldn’t because the owner had to approve it. This to me is extortion. I asked to cancel at the first of the month and they canceled early and they sent a letter to advise me stating I requested it.
