I do not recommend Thurston and Heare. My Erie renter’s insurance and Progressive auto insurance accounts were put under their care after my former agent sold his business. They have NEVER answered the phone when I have attempted to call and let my Erie renters insurance policy lapse without any notification or correspondence. I highly advise that anyone in the market for insurance products avoid this business.
I too had my account sold to them by my agent who retired. I have had my policies with Erie since 1988 Never any problems or issues. I currently have 5 automobiles and a homeowners policy with them I contacted Thurston in early June to cancel a 6th auto policy because I sold the car. I was given incorrect information regarding DMV procedures and requirements by one of their employees…… 2 weeks later this local agency called me back to tell me the policy was NOT cancelled. It was.
