While it would be unethical to discuss any specifics of your situation publicly, there are rules that insurance companies must follow to protect the consumer. Auto policies cannot be nonrenewed with only one accident in a three-year period. There has to be at least two at-fault accidents during that time. They are also obligated to notify the insured sixty days in advance of the nonrenewal. These steps were followed in this case.
